Aging Services has partnered with the Cedar Rapids Area Rotary Clubs and the Iowa Senior Olympics to bring the Senior Olympics to Eastern Iowa. More than 150 participants attended this two days event. Also to benefit seniors a Health & Wellness Fair with health information and some free health screenings was held concurrently at Coe College. |

Thanks to Helen Saunders, Brian Watters and Dennis Green who joined members from two other clubs in helping to clean out the home of a flood-affected family on Saturday. It was hot, dirty, smelly work, but the gratitude of the family we helped made it worth it. And, there's nothing like vigorous labor to make a turkey sandwich taste like filet mignon! |
