Van Buren Elementary Volunteer Opportunities

 

Opportunities for Cedar Rapids West Rotarians to work with students at Van Buren Elementary.  Includes Rockin-Reading, Popcorn Days and the annual Walk-a-thon.

We are so close to eliminating polio through out the world.  Join Cedar Rapids West Rotary in bringing an end to this disease.  Learn more.

Annual Pancake Breakfast

 

An annual event every March and beginning in 2014 held at the Scottish Rite Temple.  This major fundraiser benefits kids in need with  “Back to School Backpacks".

Cedar Rapids West Rotary has and continues to be a leader in the district 5970 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. These are life-changing events for young men and women.   Click here to learn more. 

 

Interact

 

West Rotary sponsors a vibrant Washington High School Interact Rotary Club.  These young men and women demonstrate their leadership by organizing, volunteering and serving needs in the community while applying the principles of Rotary.

 

Ghana Water Project

 

Cedar Rapids West Rotary is working with a Rotary District 9100 club in Ghana, in western Africa, to provide clean drinking water for 10,000 people in southeastern Ghana.  John Mack of West Rotary recently traveled to Ghana to help assess and plan for Cedar Rapids West Rotary help.
